The flagship Jenelec GEM5000 fully integrated engine control system has been designed and manufactured to exacting telecom standards to ensure precise control of stand-by generators, and power switch-over during a mains failure.
Comprehensive alarm monitoring and control and testing facilities are provided and are available both locally on the front display unit and remotely by connection of a VT100 terminal. Fully automatic or manual monitoring and control is possible along with direct-operating emergency control switches in the unlikely event of an equipment failure.
The equipment is ideal for any critical site and has been primarily designed for the provision of stand-by power in telephone exchanges, with units meeting the requirements of all the latest BT specifications. Jenelec's commitment to quality and reliability has earned them the status of British Telecom's approved supplier of engine control equipment.
Systems are supplied complete with electronic control system, change-over contactors, battery charger, power switching solenoids etc. to form a complete and comprehensive "AMF" (automatic mains fail) system.
Other engine control systems within the Jenelec range include the G300 and EP38 "blackbox type" electronic control units for integration within our own custom-built, or O.E.M. panel builders equipment. Standard equipment ratings vary between 10 and 450 KVA. Other sizes can be supplied on request |
